Brad Celmainis graduated from the University of Calgary in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (accounting major). He articled with KPMG and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1992 and remained a CA until 2020 (resigned in good standing). All required exams were passed on first attempts.
Brad’s “sweet spot” has been privately held, owner-managed corporations from startups to established entities. Before starting his entrepreneurial journey in 2013 he worked in companies with annual revenues between $1 million – $200 million, most with multiple locations throughout Canada. Brad has been “in the trenches” at several organizations, guiding them with confidence through challenging financial times. This experience has helped him benefit his clients of all sizes.
Brad has the tools to look beyond the numbers; always looking for ways of adding value and strengthening relationships internal and external to the business. A well-known connector in the Calgary small business community, if he cannot find a solution to your problem, he will find someone who can.
Brad is a high-energy finance professional with a history of making things happen. He believes in two-way communication and treats people with respect. You always know where you stand with him. His approach fosters buy-in and loyalty. He has a good eye for talent and has built and mentored strong teams based on fit and technical ability.
A proud Calgarian, Brad has lived in the city since 1976 (outside of a four-year stint on the amazing island of Bermuda, but that’s another story).
Brad was chosen to participate in Intuit’s “VIP Summit” program at the #QBConnect world conference in San Jose, California in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. He has attended QB Connect in Toronto and London as well and is a well known QuickBooks personality worldwide through social media. He had also been a guest on the popular “Cloud Accounting Podcast” with David Leary and Blake Oliver
Brad manages:
